Cookie policy

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. It makes it possible to recognise your browser, remember your preferences or measure audience.

This policy also covers equivalent technologies: browser local storage, measurement pixels and the device identifiers used by our mobile applications.

2. Your consent

Cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the Platform are set without your consent: without them, the service cannot function.

All other trackers — audience measurement and campaign measurement — are only set after your express agreement, given through the banner displayed on your first visit. Until you have made a choice, none of these scripts is loaded.

Refusing has no consequence for your access to the Platform or for its features.

Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage, under the key “pambe_consent”. It is specific to each browser and each device you use.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

These trackers are indispensable to delivering the service you request. They do not require your consent and serve no advertising purpose.

The usage measurement described below does not fall under consent within the meaning of article 2: it is carried out internally, on signed-in users only, and relies on our legitimate interest in understanding how the Platform is used. It is distinct from the third-party audience measurement tools described in the following article, which are triggered only with your agreement.

• “__session” — keeps your authenticated session alive after sign-in. Set by our authentication provider. Duration: the session, renewed on each visit.
• Temporary sign-in cookies — secure the exchange with the identity provider during the sign-in procedure and protect against request forgery. Duration: a few minutes.
• “NEXT_LOCALE” — remembers the display language you have chosen. Duration: 12 months.
• “pambe_consent” (local storage) — keeps your cookie choice so that you are not asked on every visit. Duration: until local storage is cleared or your choice is changed.
• “pambe_session_id” (session storage) — a technical identifier that links together the moments of a single visit, so that we can measure the time spent in your personal area using our own means. Stored only when you are signed in, never passed on to a third party, unrelated to advertising. Duration: the lifetime of the tab. See the privacy policy, article 4.

4. Audience measurement and campaigns — subject to your consent

These providers are established in the United States. The safeguards governing those transfers are described in our privacy policy.

• Microsoft Clarity — understanding how the Platform is used (pages viewed, journeys, usability difficulties) in order to improve it. Cookies “_clck” and “_clsk”. Duration: up to 13 months.
• Meta Pixel — measuring the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and attributing the sign-ups resulting from them. Cookies “_fbp” and “_fbc”. Duration: up to 3 months.
• Meta conversions interface — transmits the same conversion events server-side, for the same purposes and subject to the same consent condition. This transmission stops as soon as you withdraw your consent.
• Google Analytics 4 — measuring site traffic and visitor journeys (page views, searches, contacts), without ever receiving the text of your searches. Cookies « _ga » and « _ga_<id> ». Duration: 13 months.
• Google Ads — measuring the effectiveness of our Google campaigns and attributing resulting searches and contacts. Cookies « _gcl_au » and « _gcl_aw ». Duration: 3 months. The same conversions are also transmitted server-side to Google Ads, for the same purposes and under the same consent condition, along with the click identifier (gclid) and, for a contact, your hashed email address.
• Meta development kit in mobile apps — measures installations and sign-ups from our campaigns. It does not set cookies: it transmits your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Android advertising ID) and installation, launch, and sign-up events. It remains completely inactive until you accept the « Advertising » purpose, and on iOS until you also enable tracking.

5. Cookies set by third-party content

Map display calls on our mapping provider, which may set technical cookies necessary for loading the map tiles.

Links to our social media set nothing until you activate them. Once on the destination site, that site's own policy applies.

6. Changing or withdrawing your choice

You may change your mind at any time using the button at the bottom of this page. Withdrawal takes effect immediately: the scripts concerned are no longer loaded.

In the Pambe mobile app, this choice is managed from the “Profile” screen, under “Security & privacy”, using two independent switches: “Cookies and analytics” and “Advertising”. You may withdraw one without withdrawing the other. Withdrawal takes effect immediately there: measurement stops and the advertising identifier is no longer transmitted, it being understood that data already transmitted before withdrawal can no longer be recalled. On iOS, you may additionally revoke the tracking authorisation under “Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking”. Finally, you may delete your account at any time from “Profile” to erase all of your data.

You may also block or delete cookies from your browser settings, usually found under “Privacy and security”. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will, however, prevent you from signing in to your account.

7. Retention period

No consent-based tracker exceeds a duration of 13 months. You are asked for your choice again at the latest when that period expires, or immediately if you clear your browser storage.
