Delete my account
Last updated: 6 August 2026
You can close your Pambe account at any time, free of charge, and without needing to provide a reason. This page explains the step-by-step process, both in the mobile app and on the website, and details exactly what deletion removes and what it leaves behind. It’s public: you don’t need to be logged in to view it.
Don’t want to close your account?
Most of your content can be deleted one piece at a time — a request, a service, a photo, a review, or a message — without affecting the rest of your account.
Delete part of my data1. In summary
Deletion is immediate and permanent. As soon as you confirm, your login details and data are erased: there’s no cooling-off period, no recycle bin, and no way to restore your account.
It’s free, requires no justification, and can be done entirely from your account — the mobile app and website follow the same steps.
- You must be able to access your account to start the deletion process. If this is no longer possible, see section 8.
- A 6-digit confirmation code is required: this prevents someone else from closing your account without your permission.
- Closing your account does not cancel any commitments already made with other users (see Article 16 of the General Terms and Conditions).
2. From the mobile app (Android and iOS)
- Open the Pambe app and log in.
- Tap the “Profile” tab in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down to the “Delete my account” option and tap it.
- Choose how to receive your confirmation code: by email or SMS.
- Enter the 6-digit code you just received.
- Tap “Delete permanently”. Your account is deleted, and the app returns to the login screen.
3. From the website pambe.be
- Log in to pambe.be.
- Open “My Profile” from your account menu, located at the top right.
- Scroll down to the “Delete my account” section at the bottom of the page.
- Click “Delete my account”: a confirmation window will appear.
- Choose to receive the code by email or SMS, enter it, then click “Delete permanently”.
- You will be logged out and redirected to the homepage.
4. The confirmation code
The code consists of 6 digits and remains valid for 10 minutes. You have 5 attempts; after that, you’ll need to request a new one. A new code can be sent after 60 seconds.
SMS delivery is only available if a verified phone number is linked to your account. Otherwise, only email delivery is available, sent to the address associated with your account.
5. What account deletion removes
All of the following is erased immediately, with no delay or grace period:
- Your login credentials and the information they contain: email address, first name, last name, and profile photo.
- Your profile: address, service area, phone number, bio, business details, spoken languages, social media links, and declared certifications.
- Your requests and services, along with all related connections.
- All conversations tied to these connections, in full for both parties: messages, reactions, and attachments.
- The files you uploaded: request and service photos, your profile picture, message attachments and certification documents — including the ones an abandoned form had left behind.
- Reviews left by service providers about you as a client.
- Your notifications and notification preferences.
- Your push notification subscriptions and registered device IDs.
- The blocks you had set and the ones aimed at you, along with any pending email verification.
6. What remains, and why
Four things are not deleted with your account, as they are not solely tied to you or are not directly linked to it.
- Reviews left by clients about your services remain published but are detached from your profile: nothing links them to you, and they no longer point to any page related to you. They are kept because they inform other users about services that aren’t all yours.
- Reviews you've left for others remain published — they inform the people rated and their future clients — but they lose your name and your photo, and nothing links them to you any more.
- Your newsletter subscription, which is independent of your account: unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of every email, before or after deletion.
- Search audience metrics (query type, number of results — never the text you searched for): the row stays, its link to your account is cut.
7. After deletion
You will be logged out of all devices, and reconnection is impossible: the login credentials no longer exist.
You can create a new account later, even with the same email address. It will be a fresh account: nothing from the old one will be restored.
Emails and notifications already received will stay in your inbox and on your devices; we have no way to retrieve them.
8. If you can no longer log in
Self-service deletion requires access to your account. If you’ve lost your login details, start by resetting your password from the login page.
If this is not sufficient, email info@pambe.be from the email address linked to your account, stating that you request its deletion. We will proceed after verifying your identity and respond within one month, extendable by two months if the request is complex.
9. Unclaimed business listing
Some service provider listings appear on Pambe without an associated account: they come from public sources. If you are responsible for a listed business, you do not have an account to delete.
Email info@pambe.be with the name and address of the business to request its permanent removal. No justification is required.
